But something thats certainly not over is our game Overkill. The jury liked it and thats fun and all, but the public loved it and we got awarded with the Public´s choise award! Around 60 other projects were competing for the same price so we had a little competition. The majority of the visitors clearly liked our idea and we are very thankful for all the positive response and feedback we got during the exhibition. The demo level of the game worked very well during these two days and the only thing i think was a little sad is that we didnt manage to fix the multiplayer part of the game to work well enought to show it on the floor. It would have made the game even more whop ass awesome. Now im going to take it easy for a few days to kick back and relax. Bye for now!

Sorry, entschuldigung och förlåt!
I haven't been updating anything here for a very loooong time, but to be honest it wasn't as fun as i thought it would be to have a blog =). But tonight i am in i very good mood so i thought ill post a screen for all of you anticipating gamers. I have been working with everything i said before, bloodspats, gui stuff and inventory. Last week i have been trying to squeeze it in with the other programmers work. I find the gameplay, as it is right now, pretty relaxing, and the screenshot is from a little Overkill zen meditation. Hope you enjoy it as much as i do.

How u doing? -Dont know, let me check my lifebar.
Today i have been working on the enemies healtbars, you can see the pink/blue little bars beneath the knights. They are working but i still have to place them above the knights. I didnt know how to get the height of the models, but the other programmers gave me some ideas of how i can solve it, so i'll be fixing that later on. I've also improved the script that shows 2D animations on the GUI. Before, the script could just read one row of sprites, now it works for as many as you like.
After reviewing the last weeks work we picked new tasks for this week. I'm going to work with camera flyby, cutscene triggers and eventually, based on how smooth it goes, i'll work some with bloodsplatter on the terrain aswell. I also spent some time cleaning up my code and writing comments in it today, so the other guys can make sense of it. Hopefully we'll get Unity pro on wednesday, and then we can start putting our bits and pieces together. Thats the day in a nutshell, see you around.

You call this a GUI?!
A first look at the gui, hope you dont hurt your eyes looking at the placeholder grafics. If anything, it will be nice to compare this to the final product.
Day one
Hello fellows, this blog is going to give you insight in my journey towards becoming a full fledged programmer and follow my work in progress. Im a member of Trash Talk and is currently working on a project called OverKill, its a hack n slash multiplayer game that takes place in cute fantasy world. You play as an evil overlord that have grown tired of all the cuteness and you decide to obiterate it all to a gooey soup of something.
At the moment im working with the Game User Interface, called GUI. It involves making all the healthbars, skillbuttons, magic meters, portraits, etc, etc, appear were they should and work as they intend to. Ill try to update my work here at least a few times a week, so hope to see you around!
